   People react differently to the people by their surroundings, and at everyday life, people normally have few amount of interest to others. Author resolved this situation by selecting airport, to bring about our attention towards others. He wanted the readers to think about each other and feel their lives, situations, and behaviors. Living in the 21C, which era that is deficient in caring about others, author delivers a message to sharing life with others.

assignment 4: Choices

      Sedaris chose the airport as his stage of writing. Normally, at airport, the thing people normally do is just waiting for the flight. Most of them should kill their time until they got a plane to their destinations. Naturally, they are easy to focus on other people's behaviors, features, and situations. It perfectly fits into Authors perspective through ourselves. He wants people to look more about each other. I think that this choice of the place makes audiences more easier to sympathized with the situations and understanding each people in the essay. This choice and the practical value of this writing seriously relates because its purpose is to look around ourselves.

Assignment 4

   I frankly think that  the things that Sedaris and his reaers mostly interested about can be anything that is around us. In his essay, he mostly depicts people's episodes, clothing, hair, and sayings and even their political views toward country.

   He wrote this writing after the Barak Obama become the 44th president of the United States. That was the first time ever that the African-American became a president of the United States. This 'Time Match' is really important because it might influence the authors attitude a lot. Winning in presidential election of ethnic minorities means a lot of things. It states that the country become more open to every members of the society. In other words, It means that we should acknowledge the features of ourselves and respect each others also. Sedaris did it greatly. He approve the opinions that he barely not think as so. He listened to them and just think on the other way. He carefully watches other people's scene in the airport. Related with this time match, we can clearly define the author's view point.

He saws the world as it is, not adjusting things into his stereotype. He avoids to hate things, complaining about it, he just likes to contemplate them. Like describing the appearances of people, the author just want to recite and think about people he saw. Unlike his taste, he also listens to the people who have different political views. It can be seen on the situation that the man with khaki shorts and man with mustache expressing their own political view to Sedaris.
